My brother-in-law phoned this morning to see if we could Skype so that J's mother could see and talk to him. I got out the WebCam that J bought for me in Hawaii, and which I'd only used once, plugged it in, and it worked! I have no idea what I did right.

Skype is easy! I'm talking to cousins in Canada and Jamaica and a friend in Saipan regularly. Mine is working, too, and I have no idea why, after not recognizing the sound card for years, Skype suddenly is best friends with the sound card. It's a case of don't ask, don't tell, I guess.
